My name is Ty, and I've been a mechanic for 5 years. I specialize in German vehicles, have a vast knowledge of Japanese imports, and am very familiar with all domestic vehicles.
I'm from Phoenix, where shady mechanics, and even shadier dealerships, were everywhere. So I made it my mission to be as transparent and honest as possible. I tell you every cost up front, and I pair quality work with quality parts to give you the best service possible.

How does pricing work?
There's a $40 service fee, and it's one time only: you pay it on your first visit, and never again. It also covers diagnosing the problem. Listed prices include that fee unless noted, so returning customers pay up to $40 less. Parts are extra unless noted, and I go over the total with you before any work starts.
Do returning customers pay less?
Yes. The $40 service fee is a one-time charge on your first visit only, so every service costs up to $40 less after that. Call or text for your price.
Do you have a student discount?
Yes. BYU-Idaho students get a discount. Call or text and I'll give you the details.
What if I don't know what's wrong with my car?
Describe what it's doing in the service search and it will show the most likely fix. To know for sure, book a $40 diagnostic. You also get a free OBDII code scan with any booked service.
Where do you work on my car?
Wherever it's parked. Your driveway, your work parking lot, or anywhere the car is safe to work on. There's no shop, so you don't have to drop it off or wait in a waiting room. I usually can't work in parking garages, but for select services I can pick up your car and drop it back off. Pickup and drop-off isn't always free, so ask when you book.

I'm based in Rexburg and cover Idaho Falls, north through Island Park, and east through Driggs and Teton Valley, plus some parts of Montana and Wyoming. The service fee varies with distance. See the full town list.
What are your hours?
Every day, 8 AM to 9 PM.
Can I buy my own parts?
Yes. Text me the part and your vehicle, and I'll quote the labor to install it.
How big of a job will you take on?
If it can be done in a day, I'll do it. Larger jobs often need a safe place to leave the car for several days, which usually means private property, not an apartment parking lot. Not sure about your job? Just ask.
